Delete your TaskLyst Business account

This page explains how users of the TaskLyst Business app (listed on Google Play under that name) can ask us to delete their account and associated personal data.

How to request account deletion

Follow these steps so we can verify your identity and process your request securely:

  1. Send an email from the same address registered on your TaskLyst Business account (so we can confirm ownership).
  2. Address your message to hello@tasklyst.co.uk.
  3. Use the subject line: Account deletion request — TaskLyst Business.
  4. In the body, state clearly that you want your TaskLyst Business provider account and associated personal data deleted. Include your registered name and phone number if they help us locate your account.
  5. We will confirm receipt and may ask a brief security question before completing deletion.

What we delete

After we verify your request, we aim to delete or anonymise personal data tied to your provider account, including for example:

  • Your profile and business listing details you provided
  • Service listings, availability, and booking-related records where no legal obligation requires retention
  • In-app messages and conversation history linked to your account, subject to the same rules
  • Marketing preferences and non-essential analytics identifiers associated with your account

What we may keep (and for how long)

Some information cannot always be erased immediately or in full, where the law requires us to retain records—for example tax, invoicing, fraud prevention, or defence of legal claims. Typically:

  • Payment and transaction metadata may be retained for the period required by tax and financial regulations (often several years, depending on jurisdiction).
  • Minimal billing identifiers may be kept only as long as necessary for those obligations.
  • Aggregated or anonymised statistics that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for service improvement.

Exact retention depends on your location and the nature of transactions on your account; we will explain any limitation when we respond to your request.

Processing time

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a shorter period applies under local law. Complex cases involving payments may take slightly longer; we will keep you informed.
